The Cost of CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a time of giving and receiving. Getting things you don’t deserve and gifting people you don’t owe. In all of this, there is a cost; someone pays for the festivities. Our holiday traditions are set up to even out: I buy you a present, you buy me a present. In the case of the greatest gift ever given, we pay nothing. We are recipients of the gift of grace, a gift that cost God a great deal. This Christmas, we are going to look at the cost of Christmas, from the perspective of the gift-giver.

THE COST OF CHRISTMAS — 1 Peter 1.10-12

THE COST TO THE FATHER — Matthew 27.24-54

THE COST TO THE SON — Philippians 2.6-7

THE COST TO US — Luke 14.25-33

COSTLY LIVING – Acts 1.6-11, 1 Corinthians 9.19-23
